Parent Finders Ottawa holds three meetings during the year. These are Regular Public Information meetings which are open to non-members and members alike. This gives everyone a chance to meet and learn from others who have had similar experiences in adoption searches and reunion. Attendance is free and open to all.

General format of the meetings:

  • General news bulletins
  • Update on new adoption disclosure legislation
  • Reunion Stories
  • Opportunity to meet with Parent Finders Volunteers
  • Membership information made available
  • Books for sale

Where: NEW LOCATION: Southminster United Church at 7 Galt Street. The Church is at the corner of Bank Street and Aylmer Avenue, just South of the Canal/Bank Street Bridge, across from the Ottawa Branch of the Public Library. Enter via Galt Street behind the Church.

Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Who: Members, guests and the public welcome

What: General adoption information and reunion stories, opportunity to meet other adoptees, birth relatives, adoptive parents and fostered adults

Parking: Limited parking on Galt Street behind the Church. Parking also available on Aymer Street.

Public Transit: Take the O.C. Transpo bus #1, 7 - it will bring you to the front door!
